18:37 - 2005-06-03 Here's the rest of the story on my wisdom teeth and how everything is going, for those of you who might be worried or who might just be bored as well. But I'm going to be brief and skip a lot because this is most of what I've been thinking about for the past five days, and I'm sick of going over it. It's not only about the only thing interesting that's happened, it's the only thing that's happened and it hasn't exactly been pleasant. I am filled with feelings of bitter vengeance as most of the people who've spenbt the past few days with me know. I should really thank all of them, especially Kouji-tenshi, for putting up with me. *huggles Kouji* The giddy excitedness you may have picked up on in last entry was completely depleted by the time we got to the office. I may have told you how incredibly HUNGRY I was. I'm not going into details about the procedure because it makes me mad. That's just one of the things I dislike with a passion. It has to do with my personal space laws being violated without my direct consent. I. Just. Despise. It. And I foresee a very angry orthosurgeon when he finds that his red Ferarri has been keyed. Beyond that, who can say? If you're confused about what happens during a wisdom tooth removal, the only advice I can give you is: SO AM I. They didn't tell me anything, so you best make good on your interrogation before anything else happens, if you're going under the knife. They ain't lettin' anything out otherwise, those sneaky blackards. After I woke up, I got to deal with the nurse, Mitzi, who I know since my mother works at the office with her. She seemed amused by frustrated, but determined attempts to communicate. I did eventually get what I wanted: Kouji came back and helped me out to the van and we went home. Nothing hurt too bad at first, I was just dizzy and couldn't talk very well because someone had crammed gauze halfway down my throat. My face had been reduced to a big, fleshy slab of meat, so I couldn't feel anything either. Later, I made good on my claim about eating though. At first, I was just kind of out of it though, so we just rested a bit. This part was enjoyable, and relieving, after the doctors and crap. I managed to communicate some things by writing notes, because when I tried to talk, blood started dribbling out of my mouth: "I don't hurt, I just look stoopid. And I can understand why people don't pass police tests when they're drunk. This is like being on a Korean server with lots of lag." Then got up and I ate some icecream, and some potatoes, and whatever else was mushy enough to fit into my mouth. It didn't hurt to eat, but I couldn't really open my mouth that wide. Over the next few days, I learned more and more exciting things about what he doctors had done and how much it would hinder my daily living. It was very difficult to sleep the first night, and I woke up at 4 the next morning and couldn't get back to sleep. This is when I started taking three Advil every four hours or so, even though the bottle says not to take more than six in a 24 hour period. So far, I am still alive. I still can't open my mouth though, because they had to pry my jaws into a straight angle before they could reach the teeth they were yanking. After that they left a bunch of stitches in there that cause excruciating sharp pains when the surrounding tissue is stretched. Until now I haven't been able to yawn, or to brush my teeth. You can imagine how pleasant that is for everyone within a 100-foot radius of me, poor souls.Anyway, on the second day of torture, we decided to implement a brilliant idea that Kouji had come up with earlier that week. He brought his PS2 over, and we moved the TV from my room into the living room where the other PS2 is so that we could PLAY THE SAME ONE-PLAYER GAME ON TWO DIFFERENT TVS! YES it is amazing. We are such nerds! But it's great: We started Kingdom Hearts at the exact same time, and started playing through. I'll tell the logistics ov it later, what we did, etcetera, if you're interested. But we got pretty far before my mouth started hurting, which it did a lot after the first day. This was my mouth's new hobby. My mouth was extremely swollen and sore inside, so I had to press cold and unusual things against the sides of my face to help the swelling go down. These cold, unusual things included a song bag thing that smelled like wet macaroni, and bags of frozen vegetables, which would begin to melt and to feel more like a bag of mushy, wet dog dookie. I decided to get as comfortable as I could with a sack of corn against my head and just watch Kouji play. He's such a Master Gamer that it's very entertaining to watch him play just about anything. We then ate taco dinner, which for me was a blend of refried beans, ground up meat, sour cream, and salsa (MMMM MMMM). I still couldn't sleep that night, and for the next few days I continued to wake up at 4:13 on the dot. I would then have to go take medication, and squirm and moan till I managed to fall asleep again. But that wasn't the worst part...My cheeks swelled up huge, and hurt like a word I don't usually say, but have been thinking more and more lately. I looked like a very grumpy chipmunk, except that my hair is better than a chipmunks usually is. I really came to enjoy the feeling of having frozen peas and corn against the side of my head. Perhaps it is because of the welcome relief brought by such things, or because I already kind of enjoy having cold things against my face. Then again, it's just sort of fun to have a bag of frozen peas on your face. Try it, I'm serious. What helped me the most was having Kouji around. The rest of the time I was just unhappy and uncomfortable, but Kouji cheered me up and made me smile (which normally would huret too much, but didn't when he was around). He went to an awful lot of trouble to hang out with me for those few days. He had some home movies he was supposed to be recording and burning to DVD for his grandfather, but he still managed to stay at our house for most of the day several days in a row, and he even answered the phone at four in the morning once or twice. He never complained about anything, though I could tell he was tired out a lot. Still, it helped more than pills to have Kouji there. The third morning, I was almost ill with how much my gums hurt, and my cheeks were burning hot and swollen like someone had killed two hamsters, set them on fire, and crammed them in my mouth. I was struggling to keep from getting upset when I began to feel queasy, which was followed by extreme uneasiness at the thought of throwing up with my mouth in this much agony. I barfed anyway though, due, I think, to the fact that I ate some yogurt that had been sitting out for a few minutes after I opened it. It wasn't as unpleasant as I had thought, and I told Kouji (who was on the phone at the time, trying to cheer me up) that if my morning was like this, the rest of my day should be pretty good. Eventually, I got somemore pain killers, and even managed to get out of the house and go over to Kouji's where I ATE A CRACKER! This was a ridiculously huge deal for me, but being about to chew off little bits of a cracker is really awesome if you like crackers and haven't been able to even think about eating them for three days. I believe that was on Sunday or Monday. The next day I think that Kouji stayed home and did some stuff he needed to get done. We sat on the phone though and I caught up with him again in Kingdom Hearts, then got way ahead of him because I didn't have anything better to do. Since I was at home all day, and since I had just gotten new, ghetto shoes, I decided to put on my newsboy cap and my bling-bling and be a gangster. Wednesday I went over to Kouji's again and started making this mesh shirt thing while he was playing World of Warcraft and working on the tapes. It is really nice to do near-nothing all the time, even if your face hurts. The swelling gradually began to go down after the third day, but it still hurt some so I continued taking lots of Advil. Last night (Thursday), we ran out of Advil, which was a bad thing. There were two tablets left in the bottle (I had started only taking two after about Tueday) and I asked my mom to go get them for me. On her way to give them to me, as she was telling me something or other, she absent-mindedly lifted her hand to her mouth, drank my water, and took the pills herself. We all laughed, but I really regretted not having any Advil for the rest of the evening because when everyone but Kouji and I went to the movies, we just stayed up till 1:30 am on the phone and for me, that was veeeeery painful without my new friend Advil. I'm thinking this has gone a little long now, so I'll just tell you that the swelling has completely gone down now, and that while my mouth doesn't hurt to much anymore, I still can't open it wide enough to each most things and I have to be careful chewing not to get stuff back into the painful spots. I'm still going to have my revenge though, because I still dislike doctors, especially those ones. "Oh, I simply love drilling a filling
