End of School and Mo'
Well, school is out starting tomorrow at about this time. That will be a big relief. When you really think about it: no more obligations, no more crowds, no more trying to smile and not vomit. I think it will make things nice. ^_^ I have to say this year has been a lot nicer than last year, more or less because my classes were all honors classes and because my teachers were really cool. And, of course, because I could come home and rant to Kouji ^_^
After this, I'll be a junior, which means I'm half-way done with highschool (thank gosh), and I wonder if maybe I can't just rush through the last two years. According to my sources, if one applies for a home schooling highschool diploma, one can get one very easily without verifying anything at all. That sounds like apretty sweet deal to me, and I wonder why more people didn't do that. Apparently a lot of colleges won't accept a home school diploma, but that doesn't seem to be the case, and if you ask people who have taken it, I'm sure you can do relatively well on the SAT without extensive highschool nonsense. We review everything four times anyway, and it's all for the TAKS, not the SAT. *rolls eyes*. I doubt my parental units would go a long with that idea though. Oh well. Still clever if you ask me ^_^ On Friday I go to have my wisdom teeth removed, which will give me something interesting to talk about, or (if I'm incapable of talking) something to make gutteral noises about. I can't help but be a little worried, though, because last time this guy worked on my teeth, if felt like he was drilling up concrete in there. And that's really more of something you'd call in the crew of Ground Force to do, so I'm a little antsy about the whole thing. It doesn't help that Lil Doodoo refers to him as Doctor Stabba, after his style of removing her baby teeth...But I need to get it done, because I've heard worse horror stories about having wisdom teeth actually come in and knock your teeth all out of line and send mind-boggling shoots of pain through your skull. *sigh* I guess it's not the surgery I mind so much as I don't like the idea of being under the influence of anesthesia. It's just creepy: you can't walk, you can't talk, you just sit there and make incoherent gurgling noises while some guy stands over you with drills and knives...*cringes* Luckily Kouji says he will be able to be there. I don't see how anyone can trust doctors...
I saw Star Wars this weekend, which was really cool. The story and script beat the pants off the first two prequels indefinately, and the special effects were just amazing. The only part I thought was obnoxious was all the unnecessary lines that were given to droids at the beginning; that just seemed dumb and nerdy, until R2D2 brought in the comic relief. One-liners ruin battle-scenes so much...I think the actors could've at least tried to speak a little more eloquently as well. Natalie Portman's American "A"s and "U"s (Ah-nih-kihn! Ai luv yew!") just seemed to clash with the cultured accents of the rest of the cast. If anyone else had open, messing-souding vowels, I didn't notice, though I'm pretty sure Anakin did it a few times.
I hope I'll be able to go out in the country a few times this summer. You know, blow things up, have fun, act stupid, and not care about getting in trouble. I miss playing hide-and-go-seek and things like that, and while I hate being immoral and disobediant to authority, in case you haven't noticed, as you get older it becomes immoral to have fun like this when you really need it. So I am willing to break a few rules if it will preserve my mental health. I won't go out and light anything on fire right now though, because I think Kouji is busy fixing someone's computer and it's no fun burning things without Kouji ^_^ Heeheehee...
