Just the Good Parts
*tries to remember everything*

There have been a few interesting things going on, that I do not want to omit, so I'm going to attempt to get them out now before more things happen:

Recently, mostly through Anime Club or Niichan (who got me started on Anime Club ^_^) I've been exposed to such works as Full Metal Alchemist (very cool), something-er-other Gashbell (*snickers*), Mermaid's Forest (spooky, but cool), Rumic Theatre (one had a penguin!), Boubouboubou Bouboubou (the man who can talk to hair!), Naruto (everyone seems to know more about this than I do, but still cool), Steel Angel Kurumi (kind of weird, but in a funny way), Kanon (pwetty pwetty art), One Piece (definately a fav. Chock full of pirates!), and, from what I remember (I'm trying really hard, it's been a while) 100 Stories (which was actually a bit scary). There were probably several others, but I'm at a loss right now -_- *wheezes or something, but not in frustration or disgust*

At school, the Cavelings have kept me busy. Greg and Jenny have started dating. I use that word because that's the word they use. And naturally, this entails that they must hang all over each other as long as they are together. I sound terribly bitter, but this is all matter-of-factly true! Ask anyone! Mr. Patton (the creepy Biology teacher who we haunt) came out and hounded them about public displays of affection twice already. The other day, Chanel wasn't there, so Chantelle and I were the only ones around Jenny and Greg. We sat by while they talked quietly amongst themselves and made playful gestures at one another the instant one of us opened our mouths to say anything, so eventually, we decided to shut up. Gosh, I sound bitter >_<` I'm really not, they're good friends. It's just, um...not exactly something I'm fond of watching. You'd be uncomfortable to! Yes, yes, I'm happy for them and all that jazz, but anyway: So after a few seconds of watching the "show", Chantelle turns to me and says, "I'm really lonely. Spoo, wil you go out with me?"

I looked at her skeptically, then looked back at Greg and Jenny, and shurgged my shoulders and through my hands in the air with a what-the-heck and a "sure".

I hope she wasn't serious...I'm pretty sure I wasn't. I'm far too imature for such adult obligations, but I couldn't pass up the chance for a laugh at the time. I hope she understands ;p

Things have been so off lately, I've gotten a bit jaded to those sorts of things anyway. Someday here soon I'll wake up in a cave with baby animals all huddled close around me and I'll go, "Huh? How the heck did I get here?" but then as long as I have my cellphone, I'll prolly shrug it off and go back to sleep.

It hasn't all been putting up with Greg and Jenny. Rather, it's been putting up with Greg. Yesterday was the much awaited UIL.

I'll stray from the point long enough to let you know that, recently, school has lost satisfaction with only taking up eight hours of my life everyday. Now it demands closer to thirteen. I have after school rehearsals for choir and theatre that keep me till eight. UIL was coming up in choir. And I'm Spiker for James in the Giant Peach, so I have to come, even if I only sit or move stuf backstage (which is actually quite fun).

But finally, we had UIL. Menger-sama got hit with a bottle cap or something, so she had a black eye. It looked cool so I pointed that out and she said, "You want one too?" good naturedly. I nodded eagerly, but I think she was kidding. She likes to look at people and then scream at them to, "STOP STARIN' AT IT!!" Especially the boys in our choir. We are but lowly freshmen, but I think she still likes us a little. Not always, but sometimes. ^_^ She very cool.

We got up to the school early, warmed up, then took a long, pleasent bus ride to a high school nerby that had all these grassy hills and stuff in between all the buildings. It was like park or a zoo. More like a zoo because of the students. When we entered one of the buildings, one of them kept throwing himself against the glass at us, whilst screaming stuff we didn't understand. we sang and sightread (the girls) and got a 1 in sightreading and a 2 for our performance...that was a bit disappointing. But I still had the mixed stuff to do, that would go better. The boys got there later, and I went with the other select girls to sing with them. We ALSO got a 1 in sightreading and a 2 on stage...Maybe they were just hard judges, I thought to myself. And we went back to the school and I got to have C-lunch (FOR ONCE) with Chanel and Greg and Brandon. Chanel and Brandon sometimes don't get along, but they are more-or-less mature about it, and this time they did. Greg, however started using a leaf to scoop up dirt and put it on us. So I got a leaf and started putting it back on him. Then he was better at using the leaf, so I just pinched some dirt and tossed it at him. That method worked well, so Chanel adapted it, and we both continued to pelt greg with dirt. He said we were cheating, and then he started pinching and throwing dirt too, but we were too fast for him. Sooo: he takes a fistfull of dust and chucks it at me.

By now everyone is very dirty, and laughing heartily, and the air is thick with dust and people are staring. But the dust was easy to brush off and none of it got in my hair. Brandon liked his dust, so he left it on for a while to process.

Then Greg started flicking wood chips at me, while I was trying to talk. I ignored it for the most part, until something stung my lip and I felt something hard in my mouth. I looked and it was a little piece of wood! Greg laughed his butt off, and I couldn't help but laugh as well, so we all laughed and then it was time to go so I didn't have to get my revenge right then.

Instead, I secretly sabotaged Brandon's brain and forced him to yell obligatory, random threats at Greg later. Well, actually, it just worked out that way, since Greg kept forgetting to give Brandon a book, so Brandon rushed up, and yelled Greg in the face saying, "I'm pissed and I'm packin' produce! Bust out The Grapes of Wrath!"

It was also funny because, even though he screamed it at the top of his lungs, no one turned around to look.

A couple of weeks ago, I went with Niichan and his family out into the country, where it looked more like Jurassic Park than Texas. It was a lot of fun, and I thought, very pretty despite the grotesque quantities of rain. In the more rural areas of the earth, these people are more friendly. there was a cool-looking deer skull, but I didn't get to mess with it because there was mud everywhere. I am not very good at fishing, but I still enjoy it, even if I need a lot of help casting sometimes (with certain rods) ^_~

Long car rides are usually either very nice or very miserable for me, depending on the company and (sometimes) whether or not I have a CD player, but I am glad to say that lately, I have only had enjoyable car rides.

*Thinks she is going to deaf from annoying satellite signal thing*

Dee and Little Doodoo were displeased with the incoming signal from our satellite. They blame out neighbors tree. So they went outside to try and straighten the receiver. This means turning on the TV and setting it to play a high pitchd noise, depending on the clarity of the signal. The clearer the signal, the more ear-splitting the noise.

I demolished an anthill today with Tasha and a stick. It was a good run. We saw the larvae when we pried the bark of the tree off. The anthill was in a stump. Destroying things for no reason is fun.

Don't worry, ants like getting mad then rebuilding things. That's their job.

A quote from the Planner: "Wives are always married, but ants just want to bite you."

Last Saturday, I had to go to theatre, but oh no! No one could drive me! So I got to spend the whole day with Niichan ^_^ He helped us change knife blades on our box cutters and to paint things that I was short to--I mean, too busy to work on. Then I rehearsed my nonsense and was free! And we went on a lil' journey to Half Price (two different ones) and with a little luck and the help of a neat Black Dude with dreads who just happened to know where it was, and who hailed the power of prayer--we found it. I have to read it for one of the millions and millions of projects I have for school. No joke.

Today, Chanel gave me The Planner! I haven't read it's happy pages in so long. Tasha said, "Wow, you're actually a bit hyper today. Like you were at the beginning of the year!" Usually she only gets to hang out with the cynical lethargic me, so...But hey! It was fun! I won't explain the wonderous Planner again, for good justice. Just know that it is amazing. *makes wooing noises and holds up Planner*

In it is the exclusive evidence of Chanel sneezing and having a nosebleed. I have to scan this tonight XD

And also, I found Ohki! My ryo-ohki plushy, that so cruelly was lost behind my bed...But he's back! Yay!

Pilo will not be so lonely during the day now.

A little dose of nostalgia: Remember that Fatboy Slim video for Weapon of Choice? The one with Christopher Walken dancing in the fancy hotel? And he was flying around? I loved that thing. And we got to watch it at Anime Meeting!

Things are good when they aren't crummy. I'm actually catching a little murmur way back in my head from that little voice that always asks how being alive could've ever been a "bad thing".

And just because I'm soooo generous, and because I mentioned something about a special goody way back near spring break (-_-*), I'm reserving next time's entry for a nice Jhonen Interview. Yay!

Hey I gotta keep you people coming back somehow, eh? Eh?

But now I must away, for my computer is being flooded with owls. ^_^
