Halloweeny
Yeah for Halloween!
No, I didn't make this image ^_~
Didn't feel much like Halloween to me though. I couldn't dress up because my costume wasn't in dress code. I had fun though. Geoff, Justin, Jeff, and I played with the ad in GamePro for GripShifters ^_^ It had little car stickers that we stuck all over each other, so I had little cars driving on me. I normally would be pretty opposed to that much social interaction, but I think these guys know their place. They've been smacked around enough in the past :p
Not feeling too great right now though, since I lost Kouji's magical hat...Hopefully I'll be able to find it if I get to school early tomorrow. Losing things is such a drag. I wish I didn't end up losing stuff so often, escpecially the important stuff.
As for the whole comic idea: I didn't really feel like it was working out. Interesting stuff keeps happening, so I can't just blow it over. I gotta talk about it ^_^ Like yesterday:
I decided to make Sanchoco, a Puerto Rican stew. So I had to go all over town getting exotic ingredients, like butternut squash, chayote, and plantain. That wasn't so bad though. I came home, and started the meat and everything. Then I went to work on the real labor: chopping up vegetables. I find it ironic that the recipe said "spend 15 minutes preparing, and 45 minutes r&r", because I spent about TWO HOURS peeling, coring, seeding, and cutting up one of every kind of vegetable on EARTH. The plaintain was nice. Like a big banana. Easy. I had to peel three potatoes though, and core and chop four tomatoes, which isn't terribly hard, but takes a while. I was getting pretty exhausted after that. Chopping raw potatoes (one sweet, three normal) is quite a job when you don't have a very sharp knife. Then came the squash: About as large and heavy as a healthy infant, relative of the pumpkin. I spent 10 minutes trying to saw into that freakin' thing! And, when I eventually gored that gourd, I was pleasently surprised to find a reeking cavern of DISGUSTING PUMPKIN GUTS. The sleepier I got, the more comedic I became, cleaning out what looked like greasy, hanging, alien entrails with an ice-cream scoop. I had to shuck some corn as well, which, if you ever do it, will steel your resolve in forever after bying only frozen or canned corn. The stew turned out REALLY good though, and was well worth the hassle and the ghastly mess I made while preparing it. We probably have enough to last all winter ^_^
Wish me luck finding my hat though *sigh* I really hope it turns up.
